Car Hire Damage Excess Insurance

Your car rental UK agreement normally includes cover for Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Theft. However you are still liable for the Excess on CDW and Theft. When a rental car is damaged or stolen, the driver is asked to pay the first portion of the repair or replacement costs. This is known as the Car Hire Damage Excess.

These policies cover you not only for the total amount of Car Hire Damage Excess for which you are liable if the car is damaged or stolen, but also for damage to the roof and undercarriage of the car hire, it also covers for the windows and tyres of your car hire.

We insure the Policy Holder, not the rental vehicle. We cover the UK, USA, Europe and any country worldwide, Car Hire Damage Excess is a voluntary Damage Excess Insurance. Decline the car rental company’s Excess cover at the counter when you collect the car. If the car rental is damaged or stolen, the car rental company will charge your credit card for the Car Hire Damage Excess amount and you then claim for reimbursement on your policy should you need to claim against damage to your car hire.
