In September, Continental Airlines announced its intention to launch a direct service to New York from Bristol, to begin on 20 May, 2005.

Cardiff Airport A series of major expansion projects, designed to boost the capacity of the TerminalBuilding and enhance overall operational efficiency,  including car hire /rental to cover the UK commenced in early 1993. The projects included re-development of the landside forecourt area, expansion and modernisation of the International Departures Lounge, plus modification of the roadway access to the Terminal, and construction of a new security access point.

London City Airport is situated just 10 miles (16km) from the West End (the shopping and political district), six miles (10km) from the City of London (the financial district) and three miles (5km) from Canary Wharf (London's newest business and financial centre UK). The Docklands Light Railway extension to London City Airport opens 15 December 2005.

Luton Airport is one of the UK's fastest growing airports with passenger numbers of 7.5 million during the calendar year 2004 an increase of 400% in 10 years. Norwich Airport winter programme for 2005/06 from Norwich includes flights to The Canaries, Mainland Spain and Malta. Flybe have also announced their winter flights from Norwich these are Alicante from 30th September, Malaga from 2nd October, Chambery and Geneva from 17th December and Dublin and Aberdeen
